First interstate deal to make HyperLoop network a reality signed

The first hyperloop needs to be between LA and Vegas.
Beyond that I'm not sure any are really needed. I think it'd be cool if there were one between St Louis and Chicago, but it wouldn't get enough use to be feasible.

You know what HyperLoop track would get crazy volume is one between Vegas and Los Angeles.

It would be the first mode of transportation to really give domestic airlines competition. Because of the way the technology works, if you had enough hyperloop tubes around the country you could basically constantly have pods going and operational.
I personally think Hyperloop is a really big deal.

Yeah that thing would do incredible business.
The first active, citizen Hyperloop tracks will almost certainly be in India. There are already contracts in place for them I believe. Can you imagine that smell.
Other tracks that could really change things drastically have to be:
San Diego-LA-San Fran-Sacramento(-Portland-Seattle?)
Dallas-Houston-Austin-San Antonio
Boston-New York-Philly-Baltimore-DC-Upstate Virginia
With the obvious ultimate goal being connecting LA and NYC.

The technology is so drastically different than train technology, I don't think its even possible for them to collide.
Not to say that there won't ever be an accident. There will be, just like in Cars, Planes, and Trains. But the potential for the technology is incredibly safe. In theory.

Estimates travel time of 28 minutes..
After you arrive an hour early for screening processes, wait 30 minutes to board, another 30 minutes for all the fat people to strap in and 30 more minutes to stow all the luggage.

It's going to start small with small regional routes like this, but over time if they can get the right routes it will grow into a pretty useful network. A key to it being successful will be can it provide things the airlines can't, like not having to go through excessive security, having roomier seating with more amenities. If they do that why would you arrive 2 hours early to take a 45 minute flight from Baton Rouge to Houston when you can show up 10 minutes before departure for the 30 minute express Hyperloop from Baton Rouge to Houston that costs less than the comparable plane ticket?

I'm simply talking about a network. Not necessarily a direct route stopping at all those places.
You would have to start with 3-4 hubs with direct stops from each radiating out.
Think LA, Chicago, NYC, maybe Altanta or Houston. The most beneficial timewise would be direct, as you say, just like a plane, because of how Hyperloop works with the controlled speedup and slow down.
But unlike planes the process of moving people from stop to stop would be drastically faster than a plane imo.
