So, as a non military man myself:
Women obviously have an important role in the armed services. There are a lot of intelligent women out there and from what I understand, their asses are on the line performing all kinds of duties. Not least of which is patting down other women in other countries.
However, I have been furious to hear about Ash Carters desire to actually change training and preparedness standards.
That in itself is a national security risk. Adapting readiness and preparedness standards for the sake of social diversity??
Ridiculous.

I compare it to the way that the TSA agents were running for cover today at the airport shooting.

Please enlighten us on these future technologies expected to become mainstream use in the next 20 years.
That'll be lighter than what we already have.
They make the shite as light and as comfortable as possible already while trying to keep us as safe as possible, and let me tell you, DeafJam, I've made those hikes up mountains, I've made 20K hikes with full flak, Kevlar, and main pack with crew serve weapons, the shite ain't getting any lighter and it ain't getting any more comfortable.
They can change the weights, make them more comfortable, whatever. But what you cannot change is the genetic abilities of 99.9% of women.

By the way, on top of the weight demands already mentioned... has anyone else mentioned the duty of taking a wounded or deceased body off the battlefield and the physical demands that requires?

You don't understand, we're gonna have robotic exoskeletons that our soldiers can strap on and be able to lift over a ton, run 50 mph for hours, and jump over 30 feet into the air.
Now solving their periods, pregnancies and fragile emotions is gonna be a bitch to solve.

Well then it looks like I'm proven wrong.

And let me add one more thing. I'm in an infantry unit, our XO was a Major and for some reason, our supply chief was a woman GySgt. The Major was forced to retire from the USMC, as well as the GuSgt, because he got the GySgt pregnant, both were married and got divorced.
That Major was a damn fine Marine and looked out for all of us when it came to securing ranges and doing all the shite that Executive Officers are supposed to do.
You can chalk it up to him not being able to keep his dick in his pants, which is fine. But you can't tell me that he would've gotten kicked out if she wouldn't have been around.

Answer this. If you were going it combat, would you prefer to be in a coed unit, or and all male unit?
If I was ever in a pinch I would want the biggest nastiest swinging dicks this nation can muster.

I'm not trying to be an a-hole to you, my friend. But this is the Marine Corps we're talking about here, of which I am apart of in the very MOS that these females are in (0341 Mortarman)
As Marines, we take pride in being America's force in readiness, ready to go at a moment's notice and bring death in the most efficient way to our enemies. All the facts point to the exact opposite of us being ready to fight at the drop of a hat if females are allowed into the infantry.
All the facts point to lower morale, worse unit cohesion, lower standards, and, most importantly, less combat effectiveness.
Now, maybe if we were talking about the Army, I would understand your stance, but this ain't the Army.

Don't even get me started on them having periods, that's another can of worms. Couple that with the fact that they can get pregnant and be out of action for pretty much a year out of their contract and you've got a huge shitstorm on your hands
Medicine has made tremendous strides in the past century. Ever heard of a birth control pill? : lol:

Then leave the Marines as it was. I wouldn't the Marines to be less effective.

So what exactly is your argument here? You have marines personally telling you that females won't work
