First day of school

Alternating days based on last name for the first week to get students and teachers acclimated to some new procedures, then starting next week 100% of kids will be in the classroom M-F. Feels good to get back another semblance of normalcy.

Good luck.
The moment one person gets the Rona hysteria will ensue.

Grandson started his first day. Kids will stay in the class room, teachers will swap out.

So Zachary Zeller no longer has a chance of banging Abby Addington?

Fox had a story this morning on 95k students testing positive after starting school the last two weeks. Most are believed to not have symptoms though.

Unfortunately not until next week. District has remote options in place for kids whose parents wanted to opt out or are quarantined. Don't think a few cases would shut them back down.

When the inevitable COVID spike happens they’ll shut it all back down.
Under/over 3 weeks?
I’m taking the under.

That's dangerous. You are exposing these teachers to a lot more students this way. They are just asking for someone to get banged.

Over/under first students in quarantine and the media going “ SEE THE SCHOOLS ARENT SAFE !1!!!” ...
I give it 3.5 days of school

Wait until some 400 lb 16 y.o. in West Virginia dies of RONA.
People will freak the frick out.
I love this country. But, our population is so dumb it's maddening.

Should be an interesting experiment here.
The district I am in is doing 100% full week attendance with fall sports.
The other major district in this city (heavily minority and democratic) chose before school started to do 100% remote for at least the next 3 months and cancelled all sports
Same city

Many schools opened up for a week and now back to 100% online.

Congrats. We have a piece of shite liberal ISD president where I live who has an agenda to keep kids out of class as long as possible.

"The other major district in this city (heavily minority"
I don't buy the "we are more at risk because of racism", but I understand the black communities concern. Lot's of kids at grandmas house, who is high risk. High levels of health issues, low percentage of insured with less access to hospitals. These people are really concerned about their health and I don't blame them for responding this way.
