They’ll start again in a few years. They already stopped production of the Camaro once and brought it back.

Let me add in another post I HATE this push to EVs and the active campaign to kill all the fun ICE vehicles.

Too big to fail and an arm of the corrupt U.S. Government.

GM is careful to exclude pickup trucks from their EV-only push. They will make EV pickups, but they are not abandoning ICE trucks.

They all exclude trucks. There's almost no development in the EV truck market other than 1/2 tons. There's been more for school buses, line trucks, things like that than 3/4-1 ton type vehicles. Also, I've heard zero plans to phase out gas options for 1/2 tons.

There’s hope for Louisiana. Sadly, Havana 2023 looks better than any hood I’ve ever seen.

This isn't something new. Silent gen/Baby boomers got GTOs and muscle cars, and then when the economy changed (oil crisis) and government got intrusive (smog laws), they all grew up and there were only a handfull of Gen Xers to sell those cars to.

Similar situation: relatively large millennial customer base obsessed with appearances matures out of 2 door performance cars + not enough gen Z buyers with any buying power + major market & regulatory environment changes = front wheel drive shitboxes.

I love Camaros. When I was in college I had a '99 T top

Now I have a 45th anniversary. There weren't many made like mine. I wonder if discontinuing them again make the less common ones worth more.

Expect an electric Camaro soon. That's where we are going, for better or worse.

Ford will follow up with an electric Mustang (a real one).

When those EV turds gather dust on the showroom floors you'll see a return to ICE vehicles.

While there may be some initial popularity, EV's are not ready for prime time and most consumer applications. People giving up their EV's and returning to ICE vehicles are also on the rise.

GM has said it plans to sell only electric passenger vehicles worldwide by 2035.

We don't have enough of the raw materials for all cars to be electric by 2035.
