Fireworks on Christmas Eve are really damn annoying

My little town is usually quiet except for the occasional bass thumping at night of some moron. The city insists on opening the sale a fireworks a few days before Christmas. So on Christmas Eve there's always a few idiots who blast off fireworks while people are having a nice quiet Christmas dinner for Christmas Eve church services are going on
Unfortunately, like so many Louisiana s*** small towns, no decent business wants to come to town because the towns are so poorly managed. So the way to generate additional tax revenue is to allow numerous firework stands open up over the holidays.

I'm all for Christmas. Christmas carols, Christmas lights, and other traditional Christmas festivities are not a problem.
But, is it too much to ask people to refrain from blasting off fireworks on Christmas Eve?
New Year's Eve and July 4th are perfect occasions for fireworks. Do it everyday
I am really thinking about buying a case of firecrackers and sending them off about 4 Christmas morning.
