very nice how much?

Bout a hundred bucks, give or take. They were on sale at Orvis last weekend for like 110 or something. Maybe 140 originally. Orvis always has 20 bucks off 50 available though.

Orvis has a bunch of shite like that though if you're looking for a slightly nicer version of a better sweater. They're cut worse though, so you may want to size down.

If you look like a homo, it's probably because of the massive cock in your mouth. Take that out and you're off to a good start.

As for looking like a well put-together man, start with what I posted. You don't have to look like a lumberjack or poor fratboy to look like a straight man.

I just wish they were longer - most of the sweaters orvis makes are very short

No, just no.

You going for the Neo from Matrix look?

I wear a suit five days a week. On the weekends: etnies, jeans, a tshirt, and a longer button up coat.

If Im dressing like a good ol' baw, I replace the etnied with steel toe boots, add a pocket knife, a fishing shirt, and a camo hat.

If we're going to dinner, replace the etnies with some italian slipons, replace the jeans with slacks, add a button up but no tie, keep the coat.

I have a black leather jacket which is now gray from 15 years of hard use I'll wear it if gets very cold.

I have a reputation to uphold and walking out of Walmart with a wrangler flannel doesn't work unless I'm in a bind and going to repair a deer stand

I have had North Face, Columbia, and Patagonia fleeces over the years. I do agree at the value, it's probably worth it to buy Columbia. But it is not an equal quality. My Columbia fleece is thinner and more ragged out in the same time period as the others without a doubt. But, it's at 1/3 the price and it's not like we live on the frozen tundra, so not a big deal.

My question isn't why you buy Patagonia over Columbia, it's if you're going to buy Columbia, why don't you buy store brand instead? It'll save you money and it's the same generic synthetic stuff, unless Columbia has gotten so cheap it rivals store brands now.

IMO, Arcteryx/Mammut > Highest end TNF > Patagonia > Marmot > Regular TNF > Columbia. Obviously leaving a lot of brands out.

But, it makes little difference for casual wear. I will say, however, that the fits of the higher end brands are to some extent worth the cost.

That exact jacket plus grey sweatpants, white Reeboks, and a green and black mohawk toboggan with whatever gloves I can find.

Although I do agree some people think a fleece is an acceptable form of attire for a dressy/business casual/cocktail party look and that is wrong, I think most are looking for something to wear on a daily basis in a more casual setting. If you can't differentiate that, then the issue is with you.

In regards to the coats you posted, they are terrible. I would not be caught dead in any of them at any time.

How the frick do you people function?

Wear a suit during the day, tux at night.

Unless you're a minority, then I guess enjoy your Starter jackets and hoodies.
