However, have you looked at adjusting your fleet to more fuel efficient since this relatively cheap gas has been around for almost a year and appears to be staying another 6-12 months?

I am actually going the other way and getting a larger more fuel inefficient van. I think my catalytic converters are starting to fail as my MPGs are around 17 now and they were twenty a while back.

I'm sorry guy, were you volunteering to take a paycut when the prices were reaching record highs to help makes things more affordable? I didn't think so.

The guy complaining about this is usually your typical Walton and Johnson listener that posts pictures of his pay stub bitching about all of the taxes he's paying going to free loaders. But when it affects you, hey you're all for people subsidizing your income.

They're about to tax the frick out of gas some more, so get ready. Big Baw isn't going to let you keep that money for too long.

I drive a full size truck and it only has a 26 gallon tank. Not sure why you think filling up a Toyota or something like that with a smaller tank for $23 is unusual with price as low as they are.

This is actually something to be really concerned about.

I haven't paid for fuel in 2 years. President Obama still has the luxury of claiming that as income for me. Direct income. It results in my income being more than double the actual and my tax bracket as the highest possible.

Sure a 100 bucks is cool but when you consider how much you earn and spend every month on other stuff it's not that big a deal. Relative to everything else, so what

My piddly little Ecovroom V6 F-150 has 34 or 35 gal tank. What's up with that?

did they downsize the fuel tanks? Thought they'd be around 32 gallons.

Seems like the white collar pretty boys are glad to be saving more of their ill-earned money off the aching backs of real hard working men. I'll be sending out a prayer to all of those in need right now.

Uh, even if you put 10 gallons in your car twice a week you are talking about saving $1,500 a year with zero effort. Not sure anyone would turn down that deal except for the oilfield trash.

Looking at my Mile IQ summary I have 1,210 miles last week.
If I get 17mpg thats 71.18 gallons. At $1.47 that's $104.

At $3.29 that's $234.18 So a weekly fuel savings of $104, now multiply that by the 46 weeks a year I work and that's a savings of $4,700 So should I be upset about making an extra $5k a year? No I think not.

All the same really.

I remember this being the debate when gas prices would fluctuate in another industry I was in. Whether to streamline with a task specific fleet (huge savings over the long run) or just upgrade to newer more fuel efficient equipment.

I imagine this large drop is paying dividends to people who jumped on right when it went down.
