Tigerland was trashy when I graduated 14 years ago. So either nothing's changed or it has somehow gotten worse. I only used to go there to pick up Rotolo's.

Tigerland has gotten worse. The bar quality has gone downhill, and the surrounding neighborhood has gone even farther downhill. Alot of low income housing surrounding dilapidated bars with low standards means not alot of good can come from them.

It was somewhere around 2011-2012 when these gangs of "good kids" started coming in this area specifically to beat the shite out of some white kids; I don't remember it being so blatant before that (got there in '06).
I remember they had a few weekends in a row in '12 where these kids were ambushing cars with white people in them by putting shite in front of their path so they had to get out the vehicle in the burbank/highland area where it used to get pretty dark at night. Heard it happened one weekend and then the next weekend, someone I knew got put in hospital in exact same scenario.
