Wuhan Flu or Wuhan Coronavirus

The media went full blown apocalyptic over this term. Even had all the fact checkers and internet Reddit/Twitter soys rewriting history to “educate” us on why calling it the “Spanish Flu” was different and not racist, but “Wuhan” or “China flu” is

The same media that has no problem casually throwing out “Brazilian strain”, “African strain”, “European strain” of Covid now and no says shite or cares

The media controls emotion and the narrative and it’s really gross. I don’t understand how anyone in that profession looks at themselves in the mirror or sleeps at night

Are there really businesses that are still prohibited from opening to make your 52 weeks statement true?

The President saying wear a max and social distance today. Dumb cuck.

Does not equal what we did for the 2 weeks to flatten the curve. That was about every business/restaurant that wasnt essential being shut down.

There are still thousands of businesses closed and the impact from the shutdowns are still being widely felt.

However, I was completely wrong about my support of the shutdowns and about how covid would affect us all. I believed the "2 weeks" timeline. I was clearly a contributing factor.

I knew it would be a shitshow but was anticipating being back to somewhat normal by August. I guess that was true in small LA but for it to still be limited capacity in restaurants (according to JBE rules at least) is beyond dumb. It hasn't affected me personally that much at all but I feel bad for the people who bought in on the fear. if you are healthy you should just go on living your life and if you happen to get a bad case of covid well there are risks we all take every day anyway.

OP was in the original thread a year ago advocating for the shutdowns. Don’t let him pretend people like himself didn’t help us get to this point

The ones in control sleep soundly on a bed of money.

Correction: OP was in the original thread last year as one of the only people saying this virus would come to the US and infect people the same way it did in China. While people like Scruffy said we would never know anyone infected with the virus.

I was on board with flattening the curve. Once it was obvious that no hospitals would be overwhelmed after 2 weeks then the lockdowns should have been over like they promised.

Lesson learned

I was thinking that he was one of the ones who was conducting that train.

You sure about that?

I hope your convictions are better than your ability to predict the future.

You have 22,000 posts on this TD. You really think anyone here buys your ignorance over this subject. You can claim to not follow the news. But you can't be on this board and not be informed.
That said, I respect your lack of mask wearing. It's people like us that will open this country back up.
