This is his record!
I hope no one goes. This dude thinks he represents "Who Dat" nation.

The event features music on two outdoor stages, food, crafts, a bounce park, a dog parade/costume contest and a nightly Saints pep rally led by Saints quarterback turned radio broadcaster Bobby Hebert.

The weekend kicks off with “A Salute to New Orleans Music Legends,” a stand-alone evening concert on Friday, Sept. 6, on the outdoor Who Dat Stage starting at 6 p.m. Billed as a celebration of the music of Fats Domino, Dave Bartholomew, Dr. John, Art Neville and Allen Toussaint, the line-up includes Irma Thomas, Deacon John, John "Papa" Gros, Renard Poche, Lenny Green and other musicians who performed with the late legends. Admission is free; donations for the New Orleans Musicians Clinic are requested.

The full festival gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 7. Scheduled performers include the Family Stone featuring founding Sly & the Family Stone saxophonist Jerry Martini, the Producers, Louis Prima Jr. & the Witnesses, the Topcats, the Lost Bayou Ramblers and Michael O’Hara. The Sunday, Sept. 8 roster is highlighted by the New Power Generation featuring members of Prince’s backing band, plus Cowboy Mouth, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, the Honey Island Swamp Band and Corey Henry & the Treme Funket.

Daily general admission tickets are $30. A two-day pass is $45. Those prices include all service charges as well as parking. Discounted "teen" tickets are also available. Daily VIP tickets grant admission to performances inside the Jefferson Performing Arts Center: the Guess Who on Sept. 7 and Blood, Sweat & Tears on Sept. 8. VIP tickets start at $65 via Ticketmaster, and include a free two-day pass to the rest of the festival.

Monistere came up with idea for the Who Dat Nation festival after seeing photos of the crowds that filled Fulton Street on Super Bowl Sunday for “Boycott Bowl.”
quote:
“I felt like there needed to be a place each year for the Who Dat Nation to gather and celebrate.” And he knew just the place: the Jefferson Performing Arts Center, where his company, Paramount Entertainment, already had an exclusive contract to book concerts.
quote:
He believes the band roster is solid for a first-year event. The ultimate goal, he said, is to grow the Who Dat rally into a “Jefferson Parish Jazz Fest.”
quote:
One merchandise item that he plans to sell at the festival: a limited-edition vinyl 45 rpm reissue of the 1983 “Who Dat” single.
This is his record!
quote:
“This festival is a prime example,” he said. “We would not be able to do this if it were not for our efforts in 2010 to maintain our rights.”
I hope no one goes. This dude thinks he represents "Who Dat" nation.

If only there was a place like this. Maybe meet up most Sundays and an occasional Monday or Thursday during Fall.

will the festival have a massive inferiority complex and become rivals with the new freeknik fest?

Should throw it over on Vets and high Street and set the stages up at the Cajun canon restaurant

I would definitely attend the "Inaugural Jefferson Parish Jazz Fest" if Bobby hosts.

He really does look like the Bizarro World Quint Davis.

I actually watched a CLE with this guy and his brother about the rights of "Who Dat." Like most CLE, it was a complete waste of time and $20. The y@ accents were entertaining.

THERE IS NO: Better Than Ezra, Red Rockers, The Revivalists, The Breton Sound, The Subdudes, Deadeye Dick, Tank and the Bangas, Generationals, Zebra, World Pretend Leader, The Cold, or Dash Rip Rock = NO CARE!

The one thing I understood the most about that video was her walking down the road with a boxe, with his gloves on, walking behind her.

This festival is a sham. They're the same people who sued the Saints on the Who Dat logo. They could care less about the Saints, that's why they're charging $45 a person and none of the actual Saints will be there. Bud Light (official beer of the Saints) has already pulled out of the event.
Not to mention, Disney should sue them for every penny for using the Empire Strikes Back logo.
