At some point feminists might realize that they are are frequently fighting fundamental forces of nature. Women LIKE to be wanted and chased and thought of as sexual creatures. When you start discouraging men from doing acting that way the women start to miss it. Also some of the men decide to become gay apparently - less insanity involved one might suppose.

Maybe, but mine are about more than just being awful politically.
Valenti is a man hating radical who probably wants us all castrated. Lena Dunham created Girls, and pretty much celebrated violating her little sister in an act of hipsterness. Emma is very likely railroading some innocent dude because he didn't like her. Sandra Fluke is a privileged white woman who demanded we pay for her birth control while she goes to law school, yet is still somehow celebrated as a freedom fighter. Wendy Davis was so desperate to win office that she accused her wheelchair-bound opponent of not sticking up for disabled people in the most despicable campaign ad of all time.

I haven't once heard guys wolf whistle at girls who walk by. Must be a regional thing
It is basically saying, "Hey, I'm to much of a pussy to come up and talk to you like a normal guy, so I'll sit here with my bros and pretend that you want me"

nothing turns a woman on more than objectifying her.
they just want to be objectified by the *right* kinda guy (attractive, rich)

Judging feminists by Jessica Valenti is like judging radio hosts by Richard Condon. She is dumb as hell and it sucks she's been given a soapbox.

I'm with you, but unfortunately, the distinction has been muddled to the point where it no longer exists in common usage.
People's ignorance doesn't make something so.
Like in the thread the other day. Just because someone thinks a term is offensive doesn't make it so.

I hate that people make little stupid memes for everything.

So what exactly is this "hiss" used to signify that you think a woman is attractive? I don't believe I am familiar with "hissing" at a woman.

Good to see that this has obviously gone over all your heads.

The racists convention is on a different board, racist.

Those statements don't actually contradict each other if you think about it. She just worded it weird.
She's saying that society tells women to appreciate any attention they get, even if it's uncomfortable or harassing.
ETA: Don't get me wrong, I don't defend dumbasses who call themselves "feminists".

So it's the fault of society?

What's harassment to some may be validation to others. Why don't they want to let women decide whether they want the attention or not before deeming it all bad?

Her argument is that society conditioned her to want attention.
What if it's a biological desire to be as attractive to the opposite sex?
Either way (whether it's a stupid contradiction or a stupid argument) she's an idiot.
Most feminist arguments dismiss thousands of years of biology and blame some invisible misogynistic hand guiding society towards evil.
When are they going to stop? When men and women act exactly like each other?
