What about chainsaw reimbursement

Not sure. I can't think of a medical reason that requires a chainsaw

If you already have a gas chainsaw. Now may be the time to get one of those battery operated saws

Not good enough I was told.

Note these from a link above:

quote:

The generator must be needed for a medically required appliance or piece of equipment; and
There must be proof that the appliance or equipment was required for medical purposes

That is what I was told....so no reimbursement for me. You have to have documentation from a doctor....they won't take your word for it.

It seems like this whole "expect the government to pay for everything" bullshite started during Katrina.

I remember right after Katrina they were apparently just giving money away. All someone had to do was wait in line and register. People who didn't have any damage was going get money.. I thought it was fraud when someone was telling me about it and they were like "no, you wouldn't believe the people I saw in line when I was passing by".

He told me some well off people who.. At the most, lost whatever was in their freezer.. That was the biggest issue where I am during Katrina.. Power outages for at least a week.

I had a laptop that got overheated and stopped working.. I never thought "oh the government should pay for it". I just assumed money they were giving out was for lower class people.

Then Rita hit and it was the same thing. That was the first time I ever saw government money just get handed out to people like it was a parade. And the people who had no problem going get it..

But I guess that's what happens in a country where money can just be printed. God bless not having the dollar backed by the gold standard right?

Can someone link the actual application?
FEMA’s website is purposely confusing

They had to buy a new generator Sunday morning of storm
Dad couldn’t get theirs going, had been working on it since Friday
She has expensive shots for MS that have to be kept refrigerated

I had surgery on my shoulder days before the storm and was using a generator to power a "cooling device" for post surgery.

I would qualify for the medical equipment, but can I go buy one today?

I already had a generator and would love to have another. For free.

They should appeal....from what I understand they should have been covered. I'm sure her doc would supply the needed proof.

I think they will question the cooling device heavily....your doc might get a call from them. I've heard they did that for Laura and Delta.

Biden’s America summed up right here in one brief sentence.

So if you are fat and susceptible to overheating when the house isn’t at 70 degrees, the generator running my window AC was medically necessary. See how easy that is?
