The bill would help those who've been arrested to get business licenses and expunge their records for said offense

Putting aside the argument over whether or not it should be legal, this would reward people who knowingly broke the law.

If the speed limit on the highways goes up to 85, should we refund every person who got a ticket doing 85 in a 70?

What about my grand pappy who was arrested for having mason jars full of shine during prohibition back in the 30's? His family was ruined by his arrest. Should we get some federal funds and our own microbrewery?

How can you justify anyone being rewarded for breaking a law? Nobody was ever forced to buy or use marijuana, drive faster than the speed limit or have bottles of white lightning in the trunk of their car.

Keep it simple. Make it legal and move forward.

frick the law. No one should be in jail for smoking a plant. As for getting licenses it would be no different than any other program that helps people get jobs. It's not rewarding it's saying we were dumb to throw you in jail. Let's try to fix this. Imo all drugs should be decriminalized.

No way it’s passes with who holds the majority and with Sessions as AG. So far they’ve totally supported him renewing the “War on Drugs” and going after states that have already legalized it.

I'm all for legalizing it, but I'm not for creating a fund to make drug dealers businessmen. They aren't dealing drugs cause they think weed should be a legal business... they're dealing drugs cause they can't get a real job and don't want to actually work and pay taxes.

If you could make your salary right now, commuting to work, paying taxes, and dealing with everyday bullshite, or you could order weed from CO and sell it to people making the same amount of salary while not paying taxes, and you choose to work, well that's your choice. I know three people who sell weed for a living. I applaud them.

I am under the impression that while weed is legal in DC, it's still illegal to sell it. Is that still the case?
Are there now stores that are allowed to sell it?

yea there are no laws regarding commerce so there are all kinds of seed exchanges and you're allowed to gift people weed.

You can legally possess up to 2 ounces.

However there are several stores where you can buy a shirt for 30-50 bucks and get a free gift of your choosing.

I can walk over on my lunch break and get anything I want, perfectly legal
