I usually just hang up on those Extended Warranty call but was in a pissy mood today. The girl said tell me the make and model of your car, and I said you should know that already since you called me. Then she stated we do but I just need you to confirm the information before I transfer you to the sales department. I replied JUst tell me what you have on file and I will verify if it's correct or not. She hung up on me. I never got to tell her I had a truck not a car. LOL

Why do Boomers answer every single call they get. If it’s a number you don’t know it’s either spam or they’ll leave a message.

I play along with them from time to time then ask them can I pay in Iraqi Dinars. Pisses them off and they hang up.

Normally I do that, but have applied for a couple new jobs and think it may be them calling me back. They spoof the numbers now to make them appear local. Those scammers need to be caught and hung.

Yeah they spoof your area code and sometimes even the first three digits so you’ll be more likely to answer. Not sure why the first three digits is necessary but I’ll see those every once in a while. I’ve had my number used before. Some nice old lady called me and I had to break the news to her that a spammer spoofed the number. One time this guy called my mom and got pissed at her for “lying to him” when she told him she didn’t call him.

I normally don't answer, but if they catch me stuck in traffic after a long day, i'll play along. Best one was sitting in some awful traffic near the Galleria one evening and had the guy going thinking he was going to sell me one for my car. Ended up transferring me to the person who can actually close the deal and by the end of it they were yelling at each other and fighting amongst themselves. Basically the cold call guy was getting an earful from the closer because i wasted about 20 minutes of his precious time.

Good God you're ignorant.

Oh, and for me, the car warranty has been replaced with Social Security.

Why can't these mass shooters find a call center. People would really be less upset about it.

Free advice: never pick up the phone when it rings, and phase out talking on the phone from your life as much as possible. It's the year 2020.

I'll be in mid-sentence in a riveting conversation with a boomer, and if the phone rings, they'll just pick it up with out so much as an "excuse me, I have to take this" and then scold the caller for being rude and wasting their minutes. I enjoy the irony.

No, he's right. If they don't leave a message, it isn't important enough to warrant your attention.

You really showed her. I bet she was really upset when she was dialing the next number on her list.
