There hasn't been liability for vaccines since 1987. This is not new.

And the Novavax is closer to a traditional vaccine isn't it?
It is a subunit vaccine that is "more" traditional. It uses moth cells and tree bark thus it may be more apropos for the Sportsman's Paradise (no pejorative intent).

Can't wait for the anti-vaxxers to come up with more excuses just to make sure they can keep using horse medicine.

Shoot ... I saw they were scheduled to leave but not that it didn't happen. So truly sorry to hear this.

That’s a shite meme. Why would this board be in shambles over that?
WHO… political organization
CDC… irrelevant flip floppers
Trump… makes sense for him, over 70
FDA… irrelevant political organization
The question remains… if vaccinated are still contracting and spreading covid why do young, healthy people need to be vaccinated if they are low risk for hospitalization and death?
I would still disagree but respect these decisions much more if they followed science and the guideline was everyone over 50 or BMI over 30 needs to be vaccinated.

I haven't seen Moderna's info on the Delta variant
I thought none of them were able to fight the delta very well, at least the spread.

Yeah, that's a great option when it's an option.
How is it really an option with the way we are headed, other than living like Ted Kaczynski?
What is coming
required to work
required for insurance
required for things you like to do... shop, eat, entertainment
required to fly
required to go to school
I'll hold out as long as I can, but this government and it's willing subjects are making it tougher by the day.

No they didn't.

Exactly - because why? A lot of vaccines aren’t 100% and the companies don’t want to get sued if someone gets sick or dies.

Everyone complaining about no liability need to read about how that came about. In the 1970's the anti-vaxxers were suing drug companies right and left over vaccine side-effects. It got so bad that all but one drug company said "we're done with vaccines" and stopped making them. In the early 80's this resulted in a major vaccine shortage.
So Congress got together and passed a bill in 1986 putting a stop to the nonsense. The bill made it so a federal court would grant settlements to people with legit claims, but the drug company itself could not be sued.
Later studies were done about the so-called side-effects and they were all proven bogus. (In other words, the kids who were sick would have gotten sick anyway). It was just anti-vaxxers being anti-vaxxers.

Yep, this thread is going just about how I expected. All the chest thumpers are coming in and calling everyone sheep because they think they should be given a choice.

Wonder when they will approve Moderna
Moderna started filing a rolling BLA in June and ask for priority review. Not sure when or if they finished their submissions.
J&J has yet to file their BLA but is expected to later this year.
Novavax finished their Phase 3 in June.
