As always, the question of possible adverse side effects floats like a three day old turd.

I think its at the point of the risk of taking GLP-1 is lower than the risk by not doing anything. If you are a total fat slob and can't curb the diet or get at least light exercise in to see weight loss results, then by all means get on the drug.

Worked wonders for my wife who developed diabetes after a lupus flare.

She hasnt taken any insulin since going on and she was highly insulin resistant do to Lupus.

Now she has perfect blood sugar, lost about 30 lbs, and rarely gets lupus flares.

Its also much cheaper than insulin if you are diagnosed diabetic. $35/month for 4 shots. Insulin was waaaaay more expensive per month.

Bad title.

Rybelsus is already a GLP-1 approved oral medication.

This is Novo Nordisk’s first oral. Says that in the first line of the article.

I refuse to take those GLP-1 drugs. Stress and crazy life had me obese even though I tried to lift twice a week.

I’ve been focusing on protein and eating smaller portions, particularly at night. It’s working. All it takes is a caloric deficit. If you have the motivation you can ignore those hunger pains or at least train yourself to make better choices when eating a snack.

Rybelsus is an oral GLP-1 that is already approved for DM Type 2 (and now CV event reduction). Rybelsus is made by Novo. But the title is correct in that this is the first time semaglutide oral version obtained an OBESITY indication. Previously it was only indicated for DM. Im sure providers have been writing it off label for obesity before this announcement. You also have to wait at least 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything after taking it.

Lillys new oral medication, if approval happens, will not have the dietary restriction.

crap junk in our so-called food supply.

While true, you guys are the new vegans. You'll make sure everyone knows your stance.

Kill price floors and subsidies on sugar, and US bottling plants will use real sugar too. Government and the corn and sugar lobbies are the reason HFCS even exists in the first place. Cut 90% of carbs out of your life, move on, and shut up. You're not going to prevent parents from throwing iPads at their kids, or feeding them Chik-Fil-A because polite workers mean that shite is healthier, of course. Both are damaging, but you probably don't even work out anyway.

Stop being a bitch and get in the gym. Lack of movement is a far greater risk than almost anything you put in your mouth.
