SB County System 9 West End Police traffic: (Location?) reports suspicious person jumped fence into yard of private residence. Resident confronted SP and "he took off running."

I was too young when the D.C. sniper shooting occurred to really have much of a recollection of it now.

The most amazing media-driven shooting story that I recall is the sniper in DC circa 2003 or so. That went on for two weeks if i recall.

I'm really surprised there hasn't been any other actual events in the surrounding area. I thought sure it was going to be another domino effect deal, when they reported the mall shooting and something about an elementary school.
What if the Farooq dude was just feeling bad and went home sick? Although I would think by now, with his face plastered on the news, if that were the case, he would have called in and cleared himself.

I guess if you're referring to them saying "These shooters may be heading to _____". I remember they said they may be headed to Alabama at one point. However, I'd hope the media would be covering a sniper shooting multiple people at random over the course of days/weeks in DC.

I guess I meant that it went on so long with no leads whatsoever. That guy was a ghost for at least 10 days of the 14.

This facility has two entrance/exits. The one on the left has at least four traffic cameras. If you turn right ou tof the one on the right there are none apparent.
The next signal has none that I can see but there is a Quickie Mart there. I am sure their footage has already been gathered.

I can't understand why there seems to be zero information on their appearance. Height? Dark pants? Camo pants? Hats?
All I've heard is ski masks, military gear (which is meaningless), possibly wearing body armor (does that mean they could see the outline under a shirt or were they wearing a chest rig (which may or may not have plates or kevlar inside)?
