I think it's confirmed in the sense that there were ATF logs/notes stating such. NYT cast some doubt that those were accurate, citing some anonymous source saying they might be a misrepresentation/misunderstanding.
Earlier today someone leaked a photo of the ATF notes from some system. The WSJ has "confirmed" that they exist, I think.
Whether they're accurate - who knows.

Hate to say this - and it is purely speculative - but the last decade to 15 years has seen a lot of people muster out of the military and turn into borderline leftist imbeciles.
I just wonder if this cat isn’t one of them. 200-ish yards isn’t as easy as everyone likes to think. Combined with the high-stress AND the psychology of pulling the trigger when it’s a human in the glass…there’s a lot of practice and conditioning that went into this shot.

So from Reddit I saw that the shirt he is wearing in the photo is a Disabled Veteran T-shirt.
The building the shot came from houses the Veterans Success center.

I hope this is more about chain of evidence, and they have seen the footage already versus don’t have much with the videos in the neighborhood yet and now looking at internal memory of cameras.

That house appears to be at 874 S 800 W St Orem, Utah.

I think it's likely an evidentiary issue. I don't see any reason why they would need to get the physical camera to view the video

Release the fricking name! Now!

Dumb question, of course it was a trained assassin. One shot only, then disappears quickly. No amateur is doing that.

This looks like they house in the photo.
Google Maps
Pretty much where I said it would be. The SE corner of the box I drew touches the house in the photo.

They may have been referring to a Mauser action but I don’t know of any military Mauser in 30-06.
Someone mentioned a sporterized 1903, which is in 30-06 and has a Mauser action, which could be the case.

The DC Sniper got away with this for weeks and he wasn't a trained assassin or even very intelligent.
