It might be a joint investigation but it seems more than illegal immigration. It seems like it could be about money also.

The article on KPLC mentioned something about Federal funds being an issue. Some of these chiefs were probably pocketing the funds and not spending the money on what it was allocated for.

I fully agree. That crap they sell at Don's isn't boudin. it is straight up pork rice-n-gravy in a casing.

There needs to be a law defining what can be sold as boudin just like with Bourbon.

Then he became a cop and got killed on the job. That poor guy.

Barry Giglio. He worked for the sheriff’s department for years, then the Ville Platte Marshal. He was shot and killed serving a warrant as a city marshal. Either a state trooper or a sheriff’s deputy was also grazed by a bullet.

It was a case of the perpetrator opening fire from inside as they were knocking on the door. Two people in the house were also shot in the crossfire.

Bee-do Reed got killed in Ville Platt in similar fashion. The bad guy blasted him through the door.

The “I don’t like liver” pussies are downvoting

Those pussies think pork jambalaya stuffed into a casing is “boudin”

Thanks for helping to further chip away at authentic cajun culture pussies.

With DHS reportedly involved I’d speculate to say this could involve FEMA funds.

Well that hardly ever happens. They shouldn’t discriminate, what about some of the Sheriff’s?

Oakdale resident here..

Hate that every time Oakdale gets on the news it’s always some corrupt shite. As far as this investigation everything is being kept pretty hush by the Feds. Rumor is Subway owner, Lala, (India Indian) was taking money from immigrants/illegals in exchange for a VISA. A lot of these illegals were violent offenders. In order for these violent offenders to get a VISA some type of paperwork and signature from law enforcement was needed.. I’m sure you know where it goes from here.. Lala was paying off several police chiefs in exchange for their signature. I’ve heard anywhere from $10k-$20k per signature.

And just for the record, our police chief is elected not appointed. Total sh!t show!

Ville Platte, like a lot of small towns in Louisiana, is a shell of what its former self was during the 1950s - 1960s.
I think ICE would be afraid to drive down Rozas Street in “The Woods” or along Lincoln Road.

I’m gonna call and order a Porter house rice and gravy plate and 2 fried shrimp sandwiches. Oh and 3 Verlan burgers with those grilled onions.

Those towns probably need a good flush. Especially Ville Platte.

Racist

Section 8 will never get flushed

Allowing I-49 to bypass Ville Platte was the beginning of the end BTW

This number is burned in my memory, wonder if we know each other.

Verlin actually, but sounded like Verlan with the way people said his name.
