An FBI agent was on his way to work on a train in December 2020 when he was accosted by a man who threatened to harm him if the agent didn’t hand over his money.
The agent, Eduardo Valdivia, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment
Thankfully, the agent was found Not Guilty by a jury yesterday. The Maryland prosecutors tried to paint the “victim” as an innocent panhandler that posed no real threat, and the FBI agent overreacted.

the wounded man has a history of unpredictable and violent behavior, including an 2019 incident in which the man allegedly attacked and threatened to kill somebody at a Metro station.

A Metro Transit Police officer told the jury that the man was well known to police and had a propensity for violence.

In a 911 call released in January, a witness said the agent had warned the man to back away, but the man ignored the command and instead prepared to fight him, the Washington Post reported.
“The FBI agent said: ‘Move away. I’m an FBI agent. Back away,'" the 911 caller said. “The other gentleman didn’t, dropped his bag, approached him to fight him.”
The caller said the FBI agent was attacked by the other passenger but did not describe how.

Valdivia was suspended from the FBI without pay and ordered to turn over his guns and passport, his lawyer said. It's unclear what his status will be with the agency following Friday's verdict.

Wonder how this will impact his job with the FBI

We defer way too much to the dregs of society.

He’s been suspended without pay for two years. Even if he’s reinstated, I’m assuming his career is more or less over.

If he wasn’t an FBI agent, I’d feel bad for him.

He’s a bootlicking gestappo. I have no sympathy for him

Remember when that piece of shite Obama was talking about fundamentally transforming America?

Maybe Valdivia was one of the good guys within the agency. That would help explain why the FBI so quickly turned their back on him, and the left wing Maryland prosecutors threw the book at him.

I’ve always heard the street agents are fine people….it’s the higher ups they are the problem.

That's a bold move after the agent identified himself and already laid someone else out.

Plot Twist:
The FBI knew this guy was planning to rob one of their own, but they did nothing to stop it.

Our justice system, which used to be solid, is so fricked up now. He never should have been charged. He's lucky he actually got a reasonable jury.

I wonder what happened in 2008 to put these bizzaro world events into motion?

This was a tough one for me.
I’m trying to decide who is more dangerous a violent, homeless man who robs and beats people going to work or a FBI agent.
I think the FBI agent does more damage to Americans.

DA’s are among the most dangerous people. Maybe judges but probably DA
