Nobody is calling for them to hire welders and pipe fitters, but military guys in combat arms occupations with years of weapons handling experience, overseas ops, and criminal justice degrees are overlooked for Chads that went to the right law school because they’re a legacy at Yale.

There's just so much wrong here, where does one start?
-The agent is doing back flips carrying a gun in a non-retention holster. That's asking for trouble.
-He's carrying the gun in a "small of the back" position. There are a lot of safety issues w/ SOB carry.
-The gun discharges when the agent picks up the gun off the floor. More than likely this was a striker fired gun like a Glock. For the gun to discharge means the agent pulled the trigger when he picked up the gun. The gun did not "go off."
-After the gun discharges, the agent casually walks off w/o making any effort to find out if anyone's been shot and to attend to them.

Can FBI agents not drink while carrying the weapon?
No, if on assignment not at all. If off duty, he would be allowed to drink but federal statute prevents carrying in a bar as defined as a place who derives +50% of sales from alcohol. Also to conceal carry as off duty for tócate citizen, may not be above a .04 BAC.

What if he was working and the dancing was part of his cover as a partying dude working to bust an MDMA ring?
Not sure if serious, but this would still be highly unlikely that he would be permitted to drink. If he is doing UC work, he wouldn’t likely be carrying while drinking.
