Dominos is so much better than they used to be.

They put in the work to re-brand when Papa Johns bust on the national scene wrecked shite for them ~27 yrs ago. It's much better now. And their deals are hard to beat.

As far as real fast pizza, RaceTrac is damned fine pizza. And if you use the app to earn points on your regular purchases, you will earn enough for a free whole pizza pretty quickly.

The proper order with a few additional major chains put in for clarity and to show the nuances.

A CLEAN Papa John's
Marco's
Godfather's
Mellow Mushroom
Domino's
Sbarro's
Hunt Brothers
Dirty Papa John's
Pizza Hut (The tragedy of a thirty year continuous decline)
Dirty Domino's
Little Caesar's
Mazzio's
Chuck E. Cheeze
Cici's

Pizza Hut (their boneless wings give them an edge imo)
Papa John's
Sbarro
Little Caesars
Dominos
Cici's

Dominos is just objectively bad now. I would've ranked them at least top two 10 years ago

I rarely get any of them though except for PH. We have pretty good local chains in my area

Grimaldi’s is a small national chain.

I have walked from Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge to the original one.

They have opened branches around the country. I have been to one in Texas and have been to the one in Destin several times.

we are a pizza hut family due to proximity and our local little ceasars sucking and being nasty. there are some times where it's the best damn pizza i've ever had and sometimes where it's cardboard.

Pizza Hut pizza is an enigma. It tastes better if you let it cool a bit because the sauce thickens. But then you have cool pizza.

Always get extra sauce and then let it cool down some. If it’s from the he right place, it will taste a bit like the old Pizza Hut.

Little Caesars - haven't had it since they reopened. It was passable cheap pizza back in the day.

Pizza Hut - can be hit or miss depending on the location

Domino's - similar to Pizza Hut. Hit or miss.

Papa John's - not bad, but this brand gives me the worst fricking heartburn

Cici's - garbage

Sbarro's - probably the best of the options given.

I think technically they are the largest chain as well at least from a number of locations perspective.

In the way back when I was in high school, the family county line beer store I worked at was one of the first in the area to get hooked up on what is now Hunt Brothers. It was “buffet style” back then. Same thing.

It is all in how you set up the oven and care to watch it. You gotta spray the crust with water to melt the frost on it and then the crust with rise and brown right. That store sold a TON of them. Always had a pepperoni and one other topping along with a supreme in the warmer. None was ever there over an hours.

I also think the profit on each pizza used to be something like four bucks a pop.

But the ultimate gas station pizza used to be those hot stuff personal pans. The early ones were absolutely fantastic before the accountants got ahold of them and the quality started slipping. You don’t see many Hot Stuff ones around anymore.

What ever happened to Godfather's Pizza, one of the better chains...

Lit pizza is pretty good...

Only chain place we eat is local and that's Reginelli's...

Grimaldi's is phenomenal. So is Pies & Pints. Both small national chains.

Jets is TGOAT of the bigger chains.
