I think our cultured Democrats are starting to see the writing on the wall that even true moderate (not TD "moderates") Americans are reaching the breaking point with their behavior and criminality. Also, the more savvy of them see they are being replaced in the token ranks by Hispanics (mostly) and Muslims (more recently), and they're in danger of losing their influence in the Party. So, better plunder while you can before the grift is over.
