I think you do....cmon man.
GBI doesnt step in, those good ol boys walk.
Right is right regardless. Theyll have their day in court.

It certainly is on the surface but you wanna get all the facts and physical evidence in place to make sure you get a conviction.
Look what the dumbass DA did in the Ray Lewis murder trial in Atlanta.
He arrested Lewis way too quickly and before sufficient evidence was gathered and witnesses could cooberate.
In other words he caved into the mob
The GBI made the arrest within 3 days of taking over the case, FWIW. I get what you're saying, but this was absurd.

The fact that they were arrested on 5/7 for a murder that occurred on 2/23 is, umm, fuss worthy. The video has been in possession of the authorities for most of that time.
If there weren't a recording these guys wouldn't be getting arrested at all.

If it’s considered a hate crime I believe the could

Which is pretty incredible considering they video was taken by their friend presumably to exonerate them should something happen.

Ahhh so that’s what set this thing off. Was wondering why this was such a huge story.
The #BacktheBlue types won’t be having fun with this one.

Looks like two people conspired to promulgate an act that could reasonably result in a loss of life.

Except it appears that it may very well involve law enforcement in this case.

shite, they almost weren't getting arrested WITH a recording....the kids family lawyer released it out of frustration.

Why shouldn’t it be a story?? It wouldn’t be if the victim was white and everyone knows this reasoning. Don’t be obtuse for fricks sake.

These two scumbags deserved to be arrested
But how come you never hear about the heinous crimes blacks commit on white people?
I remember that couple from Tennessee years ago. Basically a white couple were gang raped by a bunch of African Americans and then shot to death but I never heard about it on cnn or Fox. Just read about it on here

Pretty incredible how much public outcry actually works. Over two months of them having this video and nothing. The public gets ahold of it and arrests are made within days.

This does though. Local pd.

The Feds can absolutely be called in if they suspect the local police department is too corrupt to continue the investigation or is involved in a potential cover up. They did it here in Kentucky in Bardstown with the Crystal Rogers case after a Kentucky State Trooper was murdered around the same time.
ETA: The first two DAs even had to recuse themselves and the police department head is on leave due to a corruption case with their narcotics squad.

Were they arrested or allowed to walk the streets for 2 months because they had buddies in the PD?

Yep. I wish people like Shaun king and Lebron james would be more outspoken on black people killing other black people.

The first 2 DA's tried to say there was no case until they were called out on it lmao.
They weren't out gathering evidence and trying to build a case prior to the arrest.

There is something really weird about the whole thing. From the supposed break-ins that were never reported to police, to the fact the police had the video from the day of the incident but still lied to the mother about the circumstances of the victim's death, to the second DA not mentioning another video in his April 2nd internal memo, but then mentioning it to the NYT after his recusal, and then the fact that the property owner who claims Arbery came onto his property saying the footage only shows trespassing and no theft, it feels like a "locked-room mystery" or something.
