Man, I'm getting real tired of seeing shite like this week after week. How many fatal accidents are enough to make people realize how dangerous these stretches of Interstate are? Not just lawmakers and DOTD who have to figure out how to fix this, but us drivers should really learn by now to drive safer. smfh

Is all of I-12 built on a giant Indian burial ground?

I don't think it is the interstates themselves, it is the dumbasses on their phones that make it unsafe.

I do believe that I 12 should be 3 lanes from Sidell to Denham and 4 lanes from Denham on across the bridge

It's generally a straight road with plenty of bail out room everywhere

How do we blame these wrecks on politicians?

I routinely get passed on the road by people not even looking at the road

How often do you see someone pulled over getting a speeding ticket? Hardly ever. And drive that trek every day. In fact, I’ve seen a cop fly past me doing at least 80, with a couple other vehicles on his tail. They need to crack down and start handing out tickets instead of letting people get away with going 75 in a 60.

pretty sure that distracted driving is the cause of these accidents, not speeding.

It isn’t bad since they expanded to 3 lanes, the problem is texting while driving,

It's going to suck regardless of the wreck

So looking at that pic, the question is: was the 18 wheeler parked in the shoulder and the car was trying to pass another car in the shoulder? Or did he drift into the shoulder because of texting? Or did he cream into the 18 wheeler in the road, and then the 18 wheeler pulled off onto the shoulder not realizing the car was still impaled into it?

I drive that stretch every morning. Plenty of stupidity to go around. From people on their phones to cars trying to bypass traffic by driving on the shoulder.

All wrecks are caused by at least one person not paying attention. No such thing as an "accident".
