Fat people 'are happier with themselves' say researchers

Fat people are more at peace with themselves than their skinnier companions, a group of researches claim, despite obesity leading to a higher risk of diseases including cancer and type-2 diabetes.
The theory was gleaned from a study of Britain's largest genetic database, which found that people with a higher BMI were less likely to describe themselves as tense or nervous.
Scientists at the University of Bristol noted that their finding was not conclusive, although experts said it sounds plausible, with some noting that people prone to worry could have higher metabolisms.

Makes sense. People who work out are constantly trying to improve themselves. Fat people tend to be content with living 45 years or so and dying of a heart attack.
Sometimes being happy with yourself isn’t a good thing.

Being skinny by choice is against nature, no organism starves by its own volition.
It goes against biology to not be fat.

"Findings are not conclusive"
What a waste of data.

Best of both worlds = never working out and still not being fat

This is typical of people close to death so this study makes sense.

Kelly Clarkson says when she was thin was the most miserable time of her life. Now shes a fat happy and gross.

I don’t think happy is the right word. They are just accepting that they are generally lazy and are ok with it.

I was like that. But Father Time is undefeated, so now I have to count calories to maintain a healthy weight.

Maybe it takes a person who is a worrier to care about taking care of themselves. The worrier doesn't allow himself to live a life of self-indulgence.
Maybe the guy who has no worries, does what he wants in spite of the warnings he hears. IF he chooses the right indulgences, the non-worrier can go out in a blaze of glory, and he'll have the satisfaction of having lived like a rock star. If he chooses to just be a pig, he can expect a decline that starts slowly, and then drops off so quickly, he will not be able to care for himself. He'll become a burden to his family, and to society.
Non-worriers, be sure to pick your poisons well. Pick a poison that takes you out quickly.

I’m not sure if I believe that. I hate when I’m even a few pounds over my natural weight.

disagree
when I was fat, i hated myself - it was hard to sit up in the morning, always felt like shite after binge eating.
being fat is not fun.
