All I heard was that Church Hill says they can’t make money with the current contract wit the slots they have and want their own slots

Tom Benson tried to buy the fairgrounds years ago before he died and now Gayle wants to follow through at his wishes and Bernhard has enough money and he’s huge into gambling and horse racing.

Y’all know I think Churchill is the fricking devil. They are the absolute worst. What they did to the Illinois horseman and Arlington park is still so infuriating. Thank god they can’t sell for a stadium.

They tried to back door and just go ahead to install the HHR machines is what I heard. Louie roussel was right about them being fine on slot revenue for years. Don’t they have a sports book there too?

I still think they are bluffing. Especially with the hard media push today.

I heard the same thing and I agree. They are playing games and getting called out

They are bullies and they think by starting the death march on Twitter they will end up getting their way.

Who you vote for is important.

It's crazy how the will of the people is ignored.

But at least we have chem trail and window tint legislation.

- CDI posted $2.7bn in full-year revenue for 2024, up 11% from 2023, with Q4 revenue increasing 11% to $624.2m

- Net income for Q4 rose 24% year-on-year to $71.7m, while full-year net income increased by 2% to $426.8m

CDI is pissed because their HHR machines were illegally (per the LSC) put into service and have to be approved via ballot in Orleans parish. They are not in financial trouble. They are simply trying to leverage money from the state to cover lost revenues while waiting for voter approval of the HHR machines. This is a shakedown. Tell them to pound sand.

Churchill is awful I am no fan of Landry but glad he is not caving to them. Let Bsnson or Bernhard buy the track CDI has done nothing for the track since they bought it

Surely you jest. Billion dollar corporations run on razor thin margins at best and this is all due to inflation, not greed!

For the purposes of this discussion, CHDN certainly doesn’t.

Too bad Pr08fDilweed ran his dad’s business into the ground, it really coulda been something. What a retard.

I am not certain that Gayle has the cash. She has the wealth but that is not the same as cash. There are a lot of debt obligations against that wealth, much from the settlement with the other heirs.

Churchill purchased the property for $47,000,000 in 2002. If they give up their licenses they cannot afford to let the property sit still and the city could make their life miserable until they sold. I have no idea how to calculate a purchase price with the historical designation issue.

The best deal would be for Penn National to partner with a local investor to own.manage it. Or perhaps Stronach Group.

Stronach is not much better than Churchill.

I would only want them as operator in partnership and not driving the bus. I would hate to see a local try and run a racetrack.

My ideal would be a partnership with Keeneland but I do not believe they have a want for such a deal.

She’ll be fine on a purchase of the Fair Grounds to a motivated seller.

Something tells me you aren’t familiar with how wealth in 2025 works and how much revenue an NFL franchise generates over the past 40 years, her familial debt obligations be damned.
