According to the OT you must have been an hourly employee.

I got "random" drug testing a lot back in Louisiana. Once the day after I called in sick on 4/20. Once right when I got back from a bachelor party in Vegas. Random my arse.

Current job will only do a drug test if you get in a wreck in a company vehicle. None at hiring, none at random.

I'm waiting for the OT story about the person who gets hit by a drunk driver then fails their post accident drug test.

That would suck. I also have the option of driving my personal vehicle if I know that I would pop positive. No reporting the accident in that case.

so not sure why they do ransoms

The real question is who else did they send?

My old employer...when they wanted to drug test a particular person...would send them for testing. They would also send a few others seemingly to show they weren't singling any one out. They would often send people they knew had no risk of being positive.

You may have just been unlucky.

Good point. I don’t know who else they tested. I was in a meeting when I got the email. They do the testing on site and by the time I got out of the meeting and to the conference room, the lab folks were packing up and about to leave.

A company will take a known commodity that is a good worker, over letting him go and rolling the dice with a stranger. Not easy finding people to show up for work and be competent.

I really hope you never operate a forklift

even if you do the international association of forklift operators will strip your license and blackball you after they hear you popped

Forklifts are serious business and people could die if you're high on the job

but youre probably not even forklift certified based on your drug addiction

THC is fat soluble to the point that its metabolites are detectable vastly longer than any other narcotic. Go on a cocaine bender? You're good in about 72 hours. THC? You're hot for 21+ days, depending on usage levels. Them's the breaks.

Oral swabs are becoming more popular for randoms and are only looking back 48 hours(labcorp) for just about everything on the panel like Thc and blow. It's even shorter window for a few other drugs on the panel.
