Unfriend or unfollow them.

It doesn't give the outward appearance that you don't give a frick what your "friends" have to say, but it shields you from all of their stupidity and nonsense.
It has made my existence on that site so much more tolerable.
Now my feed is filled with concert and sports-related updates.
