FaceBook app demands cell number and headshot - WTH?

I don’t have a personal FB page but had to set up an account so I can be an admin on my company’s business page. My social media guy set me up an account using very minimal info and everything was fine for a couple of days but when I tried to use the app on my phone this morning I was locked out.
The app says it detected “suspicious activity” and wants my cell phone number and a photo of me. The creepy part is the instructions for the photo. Clear head shot, no one else in picture, clear background, etc.
Anyone else had this happen? Sounds a lot like they are loading peoples faces onto a database and cross referencing cell numbers and other data. I don’t tend to be the paranoid type but I am not sending them that photo.

That's weird. I only had to give it my social when registering on the app, which by the way is horrible - it doesn't work!!!!!

The Facebook app is malware. It continuously collects data and is a battery drain. Delete the app, it is not needed to access FB.

Should have written AN admin and not THE admin. I want to be able to delete posts if someone posts something stupid and answer comments,etc. I have to be an admin to have that type of control.
