FAA asks public not to attach guns, bombs, or flamethrowers to drones

The Federal Aviation Administration would like you to know that drones and weapons are “a dangerous mix.” The government agency sent out a notice on Thursday “warning” the public “that it is illegal to operate a drone with a dangerous weapon attached.” A dangerous weapon is broadly defined as “any item that is used for, or is readily capable of, causing death or serious bodily injury.”
“Perhaps you’ve seen online photos and videos of drones with attached guns, bombs, fireworks, flamethrowers, and other dangerous items,” the FAA writes, nailing us to the wall. “Do not consider attaching any items such as these to a drone because operating a drone with such an item may result in significant harm to a person and to your bank account.”
The agency helpfully reminds everyone in the notice that operating a drone that’s wielding a dangerous weapon is a violation of Section 363 of the 2018 FAA Reauthorization Act, which can result in fines of up to $25,000 for each violation

The one with the flamethrower is pretty badass though.

In other news FAA just gave reason for nut jobs who hadn't thought about this to now try it.

My buddy has a drone with an attachment that will hold and drop a half dozen eggs on command. I thought he was full of shite when he told me about it. He brought it over a couple of weekends ago. Fired it up, flew it a half mile across my neighborhood to a friend of his house who was out back BBQ’ing and egg bombed the guy. It was impressive as hell.

To finish the story, the guy walked over, covered in raw egg, toting a 12 gauge, and ended your friend.
Amirite?

They should use their talent is a more positive way.
Make one that can deliver a Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich and a grape drink.

And now I want a drone...

I know of a company developing a drone that will, in fact, have munitions aboard. It is for use in a shite hole country, and the government will use it to protect oil and gas pipelines. I kid you not.
