People took him up on his offer for pinks ( ) and he bailed quicker than a ZL1 camaro gets to 60 mph

Yes it has.

It's almost like they can't help themselves. I personally enjoy everyone's experiences with what they drive or what they have driven. When we do shows, I can spend the whole day talking and usually it's more listening to owners of all makes about their cars.

People that are marque-specific know a lot, but can be as obnoxious AF.

They miss out on owning/driving a lot of fast, cool cars.

For the first time 35+ years, I am sportscar-less.

Kinda getting sweaty palms.

Not yet. Manuals are glorious. Outside of a dual clutch setup, and only some of those, it’s still the best.

Really depends on the kind of racing, and nowadays even that caveat is becoming increasingly irrelevant. Modern autos are damn near as good as DCTs, and miles ahead of traditional manuals.

I made the, albeit slow, transition to DCTs but I can't stomach a torque converter on a sports car, it is 100% emotional but its there. At least with a DCT I have two, count 'em two clutches.

I guess I have come to embrace DBW throttles and electric steering I suppose if I live long enough I could accept a performance slushbox as well...

The manual transmission is the best thing to stop distracted driving

Yes Sir, usually when I happen to run across those guys, my vists are short and sweet.
I spent some time with an older gentlemen that had spent last year rebuilding a basket case 66 Mustang in his garage. Something he said he has wanted to do all his life. He was so proud of his work, and it was top notch. I was reading the local news a couple days ago and saw that he had passed away. Kinda sad, yet he fulfilled his dream and I hope that car finds a good home.

You know there's a cure for that! Hope you fill that prescription soon.

He is just at the bank withdrawing the 10 racks the bet changed to. That form 8300 takes a while you know.

Almost drove home a 2017 Turbo S from Columbus last week.

Right color, right options

Kinda in a decision-making mode ATM.

Loved my 991.1. I am also looking for a 991.2 now.

What color works for you? Most every car in the universe I have a specific color that I think is best, with 911s for some reason I like a rainbow of colors which does make it easier shopping used. One thing nice about shopping for a Turbo S is they have most every option most want built in.

I talked shite about a metallic brown 911 I saw last year but it actually looked good on the car to give it more of a Grand Tourer look.

But I probably still wouldn’t get brown

One of the problems is with Porsche you can get just about any color you desire so it is hard to get down to one.

If I were filling out an order today it would probably be Carmine Red and with the carbon fiber wheels.

I'm metallic black, with a contrasting interior.

Luxor beige, gray, etc.

For somebody like me who'd never see a day on the track, a manual is leaps and bounds more fun to drive. I'd greatly prefer a manual in any sports car.

Hell I miss my stupid little handshaker diesel Jetta

I can't give it up.

The Jag I had was Santorini black, with black interior and contrasting red stitching. Good-looking, fast car

Got swirl marks if you looked at it wrong though.

Light cars with manuals are fun. Going straight through the esses is pretty cool.

There's a reason Miatas are so popular as track cars.
