Food selection is comparable but Buccees destroys them on gas pumps, bathrooms, and bbq pits shaped like bulls

They cater to the Salt Life/Yeti/pink t-shirt/truck nut crowd. Avoid at all costs. I'm sure they will eventually build a chapel on site for weddings.

It is insulting to compare WaWa to Buc-cee’s. WaWa has a stunning deli with sandwiches that make NY and Philly proud. I have been and eaten at Bucees twice and both meals were not good. I had the BBQ beef, a dry beef jerky, beaver nuggets, and candied cashews or almonds. Not a single item would I recommend.
WaWa, on the other hand, has several delicious freshly sliced deli sandwiches that were excellent and I would recommend to any lover of the sandwich. The Italian sandwich in particular is worthy of special praise.

It's the restrooms.
I've have stopped at gas station restrooms that are so disgusting they have paper towels shoved into the hole where there should be a door handle, toilets that don't flush filled with shite, piss all over the seats, wet floors, no toilet paper, and sinks that don't work.
That would never ever happen at a Buc-ees. Clean restrooms, store shelves that aren't stocked with products so old they are covered in grime, and fresh food products that you don't have to worry will give you diarrhea 15 minutes down the road go a loooong way when you're on a road trip.

A 21st century Stuckey's, but not as good. It's clean, with a bunch of stuff, but the food is expensive for what you get.

I never said they did. I gave reasons why people like them so much. Just b/c they aren't the only ones (out of the very few) you can always trust to have clean restrooms doesn't make them overrated.
