“I’m good with people.” But my job requires very little human communication outside of email/phone. I guess you old folks don’t know about remote jobs

You do see this statement is odd. If your job requires very little human communication how do you know you are good with people?

I was working from home in the 1970's in the dirt road days of the internet so you may be incorrect in your assumption of my age and cognitive skills of remote jobs.

Because when we need to meet new clients I’m the representative of my team? I do know how to communicate and the quote was me paraphrasing Office Space.

I work as a consultant working with clients on a daily basis, it’s just that most of that time is spent remotely through phone/email, after a rapport is established in person.

The Baby Boomers are grandparents to the Millenials, even great-grandparents in some cases. If you're blaming your grandparents for your inability to make a living, you've got problems.

Key point, thanks for clarifying.

Baby boomers are parents to millennials and grandparents to the following generations.

You are aware the the oldest Gen X'er was only 17 or 18 when the first millenials were born right?

The overwhelming majority of millenials were raised by boomers

Wrong. My dad is a Boomer- born in 1949.

My oldest kid is a Millenial - born in 1999.

Problem is when they post crap like this folks accept it when it is not true!

Boomers as a concept are really the kids of folks who went through the Great Depression and the second World War and were coddled because their parents had seen so much crap they wanted a better life for their kids.

The "real" boomers probably start in say 1937 or 1938 as they would have still been children at the end of the war and too young to remember the first few years of their lives which may have been harsh. I can assure you kids born after 1958 are not really boomers either as they got none of the benefits and will get screwed when social security gets cut off or cancelled fro those born after say 1958. In fact the kids born between 58 and 64 may actually be "early wave" gen X who will not inherit the silent generation wealth those born between say 38 and 58 will.

Millenials = mostly mid-20s right now, right?

Boomers = mostly mid-60s at present. Many are 70+.

If you're a Millenial and your parents are really Boomers, you had old parents.

I get it, though. It's more fun to whine about people who listened to The Lettermen as teenagers than it is to whine about people who listened to Soundgarden.

More like boredom

At my age the physical limitations far exceed that of my youth.

To many commercials on TV and this is less static especially when SEC sports are less available.

If I was under 50 you would not catch me on here as too much to enjoy in the real world.

According to some, but not others. And FWIW, she's solidly within the age group that whines about "Boomers" online. That's not the kind of person she is, but that's her age group.

FWIW: "The United States Chamber of Commerce, a business-oriented lobbying group,[47] uses 1980–1999.[48] In 2014, U.S PIRG described millennials as those born between 1983 and 2000.[49][50][51] The United States Census Bureau used the birth years 1982 to 2000 in a 2015 news release to describe millennials"

No, the youngest Millennials are in their mid-20s. Most are late 20’s, or early 30s.

I think you found the 3 sources that go that late, most say it starts in 1996, and I feel like that is late. Most people born in 1995 don’t know life without the internet, which is one of the most defining moments of our lifetimes.
