So i've had the same feather pillow for probably the last 10 years. I can't imagine how truly gross this thing probably is but now feathers are leaking out and I need a change.

Are these high dollar pillows worth it? A casper pillow is $75. Right now i have a memory foam under the feather pillow and am pretty miserable when traveling not having this set up.

Just buy one of the $30 gel/memory foam pillow combos from Sam's or Costco. It's the same thing a lot of the bed in a box guy's are selling.

Amazon

I'm currently using this one and it's the best pillow I've ever owned. It's made of shredded up memory foam

well this isn't encouraging:

quote:

Verdict Both My Pillow and Casper Pillow are over-rated, over-hyped pillows that you do not need and are a waste of money. The unsubstantiated false advertising has reached such a level that an Ad watchdog filed a complaint with FTC against My Pillow, and they (MyPillow) had to stop all the misleading advertisement. FTC even fined JC Penny, Nordstorm, Bed Bath & Beyond collectively for $2 Million for misleading advertisement of bamboo products (from pillows to socks). After weight loss products its the pillows and mattresses that these marketeers are ripping people off. Casper Pillow too is nothing marvelous, an easy test of a product’s quality is to see where it is available. Note that Casper pillow is only available on the official site Casper.com. Now if they claim their pillow to be of superior quality why is it not available in local stores and other online stores, the reason – they know their pillow isn’t anything they claim it to be. They can’t control the reviews on these sites (Online retailing sites) which would soon reveal the other side of the pillow. They want to control the reviews that people write about their pillow, so they dont sell the Casper Pillow on other online stores. Once they have booked a multitude of orders and have made millions ripping off people then they will bring their product to local stores.

The Costco version of the Casper is 35 and it is heavenly. I've had it for a couple of years.

My Pillow is shredded foam rubber. I have one I made myself from foam rubber strips, by far the best pillow I have ever used. And feather pillows cause allergies that might interfere with sleep.

I get night sweats where my head sweats and will soak the pillow so I buy firm but inexpensive pillows and pitch them every year.

This sounds like a review from someone who is happy with your run of the mill pillow. I have an old memory foam pillow I've used for years, and I have to stack it a certain way with two other pillows to get sleep. Reflux kills me at night without the right setup. My favorite pillow is getting a bit funky, so I've tried several other expensive memory foam pillows and none of them feel right. I bought a My Pillow recently and I like it. It hasn't replaced my old pillow yet, but I often alternate them throughout the night. It was worth the cost for me.

I bought a my pillow from Costco last week and love it so far. I hope it lasts as long as they claim.

I'm in the market as well. The way I see it there is probably nothing you will own that you use as consistently and for as long on a daily basis. With all the shite we spend money on anything under 100 really seems like nothing when it's use is factored in.

I haven't found any of the "super premium" pillows to be much more than a rip off. you can find the same comfort level elsewhere and none of them last longer than the others....

just go to dillards or some decent department store and get one that is right for you. when you need another one, go back and spend another $15.
