Expecting people to be civilized, DC edition

So it’s against the rules...she mentions that it’s against the rules and people call her a racist and want her destroyed. This country man. What a change in such a short time.

Exactly what does the police chief and the transit workers union think is going to happen when people realize they don’t have to pay fares?

We had a similar problem out here in San Diego. They used to kick homeless people off at the next stop, but one day someone filmed a couple transit cops dragging a screaming homeless woman out of the trolley. The woman was black, the cops were white males. Video made the local news, protests and “solidarity gatherings” ensued, the police chief apologized, and officers had to take “community engagement” and non-violent deescalation technique training. Fast-forward a couple years, and now nobody takes the trolley, even though it’s a convenient way to get to Padres games or the nightlife scene. The last time I rode the trolley a homeless dude was passed out on the floor in his own piss while a transit cop just ignored him.

I figured I would ask my coworkers since our main office is in DC. I may even try to skip the fare next week even though the company pays for it. I would like to be an effective steward of firm resources.

This order was not in response to the pic of the worker eating. This order was put out 2 days previous to this. I don't know why this order was put out but it had nothing to do with this twitter storm.

What truth do you speak of? Do you not use common sense to deduce train staff are exempt from many rules for the general public? If you think all rules apply to train staff, how could they logically perform their duties?
