Imagine the direct and indirect repercussions of declining a Presidential invite in so many other countries.
We can say what we want, hate who we want, love and marry who we want... and at the end of the day the USA is gonna win a World frickin Cup. Woo!

Indeed. It's what makes this country great!
As an aside, if the national team would've taken a similar position against Obama in the last Olympics i feel like the internalization of it here would've been quite different.
