We’re just hunkered down here with a pallet of TP and 10 cases of bottled water waiting for the “Tropical Storm” to pass.

Thought process is that it is cheap and filling. Not that it's the ingredients to make a sandwich

Planned for a flood, I got a tenth of an inch of rain and the sun's been out most of the day.

Free day off work at least.

As far as northeast La it has been the worst weather forecasting in recorded history. Suppose to get anywhere from 5-8 inches of rain between monday and wednesday and got one light sprinkle. This is probably the 5th time this year the forecast has been way off. Now they are saying we all are going to drown Saturday. Think I'll plan a picnic, cause we probably wont get a drop.

Haven't looked at the rain gauge yet, but I've gotten at least 3 inches today.

My rain gauge is filled to 6" so we received at least 6" between 9a-3p in South MS. No water in the house but my pool flooded with runoff. Guess it could've been worse.

I work disaster in northeast Louisiana so I’m in several text/email groups with emergency preparedness directors from around the state.

They’re saying it’s up to 30in in some areas of Plaucheville and they’re trying to evacuate a nursing home out that way.

Families were given the option to come get their family members if they didn’t require tons of care, but almost all were unable to get to them the flooding was so bad.

I live in Houma. We got seriously fricked. Tornadoes and catastrophic rain. My freaking cars are flooded out. Fella in my neighborhood said in 40 years he's lived there it hasn't flooded this bad.
