FYI, just because it becomes legal doesn't mean your job couldn't still fire you for it.

"I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon. Where they are I don't know. They're outside my ken. But sometimes when I'm in a theater I can feel them." -- Pauline Kael, film critic of The New Yorker magazine, a month after Nixon was re-elected president in a landslide victory in 1972

Ya, that's why medical weed is way better than 100% legal weed

One of these isn't like the other.

You left assholes with cameras who go around filming cops trying to get a reaction because they have no real life.

It means getting stoned doesn't mean shite to him or affects his ability to make a living.

Most jobs outside of that require some sort of accountability. I can't show up hammered, either, so this isn't a vote for alcohol.

Not necessarily true, my cousin has a prescription to valium, but his bosses told him he can't take it if he wants to keep the job he has. Makes good money, I don't know all the details, but that's the sum of it.

Of course you can't show up hammered but who cares what you do outside of work. It's not like you can get in trouble for a failed drug test it if you have a script, use at home and don't bring it to work or show up high.

I don't.

I don't care if anyone else does, but I have no interest in it.

Incorrect (for now) LINK!

Coloradans who use medical marijuana off the clock can be fired from their jobs for doing so even if they aren't impaired on the job, an appeals court ruled Thursday in a major decision.

I have always loved marijuana. It has been a source of joy and comfort to me for many years. And I still think of it as a basic staple of life, along with beer and ice and grapefruits – and millions of Americans agree with me." -- Hunter S Thompson

Didn't he kill himself? Lot of comfort weed did for him.

He needs to look into the law in his state. In AZ it is the law that an employeer cannot punish you just for having weed in your system if you have a script. You can't be under the influence at work or possess it at work but you are protected if you fail a drug test for anything you are prescribed and that includes weed. I don't know how other states work.
