The Cave City, Arkansas swarm of tornados in April of 2025 is missing. There were two or three that went through the area and destroyed several houses, a grocery store, and hit one of the church's hard.

Wow, there was an EF3 that passed 3 blocks from our house in Lafayette in 1974. Never heard anything about it from my parents or neighbors. Will have to look into it. I shows it ran from Broadmoor area across the river thru what is just west of River Ranch thru E Bayou Pkwy. Anyone have any memories or this ?

The 2008 EF3 that ripped through the Georgia Dome during the 2008 Final Four still blows my mind.

It’s interesting to me how large violent tornadoes will take the same track. There have been 2 EF5’s within 2 miles of my house since 1974. Another EF5 and an EF4 took the same path about 20 miles away during that same period.

Wow. Mississippi went from never reporting over 100 tornadoes from 1950-2004 to reporting over 100 tornados per year once very three years from 2005-2026 (seven times). MS and AL have been the new tornado alley for the last 21 years.

ETA: climate change deniers don't like the post.

The climate change movement lost credibility early on when it referred to the problem as a global warming crisis. When that was debunked by objective evidence you switched the entire movement to “climate change”. The problem with that is the climate has always changed since the beginning of known weather patterns and almost certainly even before that.

It may exist, but the people pushing it have an agenda and many are using it as a resource to get rich(er). Gore has an estimated net worth of $300 million mostly as a result of being the leading spokesperson for the global warming initiatives.
