Every Manned U.S. Space Launch montage

I've been working on this video, on again and off again, for the last few months. It's part one of three or four and shows every manned launch from Freedom 7 (1961) to Apollo-Soyuz (1975).

Not gonna be many lately when you make those videos. Thanks Obama for killing NASA and making them refocus their efforts on important things like muslim outreach.

Before Obama, republicans were constantly fussing about the high costs and pointlessness of manned space launches.

That is awesome!!!
"The Right Stuff" is my favorite movie of all times. I have always said if I could go back and live at any time/place, it would be the central Atlantic coast of FLA in the late 50's to mid-60's.
That's the first time I ever heard about the astronaut losing 13 lbs in two hours of a space walk. That was nearly 10% of his body weight, since these guys weighed 150 lbs probably. He must have been completely dehydrated.

We put motherfrickers on the moon with slide rulers and B students from Houston.
We have more computing power in our pocket than the flight that put those glorious sons of bitches on said moon and haven't done shite since.
Honestly, it's on both Republicans and Democrats that we have fallen so far from where we were in this regard.

Until we find a drastically cheaper way to get to space manned space flight is pointless though. Muh inspiration which is what many on here argue isn’t reason enough.

Very well done. The write-ups were great.
The way they fixed Apollo 12 was amazing. John Aaron had accidentally stumbled onto the solution for the telemetry issue after the lightning strike, a year early. When Director was about to abort, JA tells him to SCE to Aux and it worked. Mission went on AND then we got the phrase steely-eyed missle man.
Don’t think I’d ever heard that Apollo 12 communication before, so thank you!

And what's crazy is that of the three astronauts onboard Apollo 12, only the rookie (Alan Bean) knew where and what that switch was. That's why you hear Conrad go, "What the hell is that?!" in his communication to Houston. The dude had no idea.

Nice work, it takes me back in time, I remember as a
kid playing outside all of a sudden you would hear a
low rumbling that grew into a loud blast coming from
Marshall Space Flight Center where Wernher Von Braun was testing the Saturn rocket engines.
