I was about to say .. that's because she was very young and flying alone, without her parents .. Were you really considering fricking around with her if she was 16 or 17 ?

Yep and that's how I joined the mile high club. Didn't you know that all hot girls on airplanes just want to frick the guy they are sitting next to?

To me, winning the airplane seat lottery is having an empty seat next me.

Sat next to a really nice guy that turned out to be a Franciscan Priest. We talked about our love of reading, and I extolled the virtues of my Kindle. Talked about religon, my family, and he gave me good advice.
We exchanged information, and months later when he was in town again, he came by to meet the family and have supper. We still email occasionally, and if I'm ever in Cincinatti I'll stop by the seminary.

why can't they merge Expedia with Tinder or something and you only get to sit next to people who you match with.
Pretty sure you're on the cusp of a million dollar idea here.

i sat on a flight by probably a legit OT 7-8 recently w/ SW. i saw her in the line for boarding and was fairly impressed.
then she actually came and sat by me. i normally read with earbuds in, but occasionally i enjoy talking to my seatmates and have actually had some really great conversations over the years. she looked really sad, had some tears, and i asked what was up.
apparently she was returning from a trip with her now ex-BF. they had gone to NYC and broken up while there. when she pointed him out i turned to look and he gave me the "i'll effing cut you" look.
we had a nice 3 hour conversation about their trip, her job as a lawyer for charities, and her now single life, what i did for a living, etc. when we got off she gave me a big hug and said thanks for cheering her trip up and making the ex jealous. the ex walked by making daggers at me as we got our bags.
i've sat by some attractive girls and chatted for sure, but that's the only time it ever actually played out like we want it to.
after that i was still happily married... but i got to live the dream at least.
