She just wants her “gift” tonight. Won’t cost me anything but a little energy.

I always pick up my girl flowers and chocolate. She says not to but I know better. She loves it.

We both know it’s a commercial holiday, but we still have fun with it.

We’re going on year 2 or 3 of not doing shite on V day because it’s stupid. We go out together often, laugh together constantly and don’t need some fabricated holiday to spend money to prove it.
However I did check this morning to make sure we were still on the same page.

I just texted my husband that I’m stopping at Walgreens on my way home from work and did he need anything. His reply “Buy yourself a V day card” And now he is texting me about vday being a BS holiday
Your husband sounds like a piece of shite.

I remind he every year that it is a ploy. She agrees so instead of cards flowers and chocolate we buy crawfish instead. I have an awesome wife.

I didn't have to. She already knows that and never makes a big deal about today.

Never denounce a day that celebrates what women want you to do on a daily basis and that is to spend money on them

Congrats to all of you for getting laid tonight

My wife doesn’t give a shite about Valentine’s Day. Our anniversary is much more worthy of celebration. Valentine’s Day is stupid.

We established that 22 years ago when we were teenagers long before we were married.
Posted on 2/14/19 at 6:12 pm to TDcline
Yep, I buy her candy tomorrow. I do cook a nice meal for my family tonight though.

So sad.
Haven't celebrated Valentines Day in years outside of when I jokingly smack her on the arse in the morning to tell her I love her because it's Valentine's Day.
It's such a shite "holiday." Why would anyone want to have a holiday where it encourages your significant other to do superfluous acts of giving just to prove to the world that they love you?

My wife thinks the manufactured “holiday” is stupid too.
