Yes OP. Manage your money wisely and choose your spouse twice as wisely.

Ain't the the truth.

I was a successful banker, but I knew my wife was cheating on me. I wanted to kill her, but couldn't do it. Still I was wrongly convicted, 20+ yrs. Now I'm living the good life in Mexico with the kind, gentle black man I met in prison.

All the time. I don’t think about it with regret; I’m more just amazed how tiny things can change everything. 4 years ago, I never would have imagined I’d be where I am today.

All the time. Something as simple a dropping an item and stopping to pick it up can change the timing of what could have been a fatal car crash hours later. Something as simple as your chosen name could have altered your life.
Some call it fate, others call it a predestinated course.

For most of the tiny little things your personality and talent and intellect would bend you back in the general direction you were headed.

I wish in the second semester of college I hadn't befriended those potheads.

When we first moved to Huntsville, AL, my parents had to decide on living in Huntsville or Madison. They chose Huntsville.

Several years later I’m hanging out with some friends whom I never would’ve met in Madison, and one of them wants beer. We stop at a gas station and meet some girls there and start hanging out with their circle of friends a lot.

A few months later, while at a gathering of people we’re in a place I never would’ve been if my buddy didn’t want beer, I meet the future Mrs. alajones.

That was 24 years ago.

I had two things that I guess was fate that led to me meeting my wife.

Jr year of college I wanted to join one of the business clubs on campus. I called the number for the first club I had in mind and the girl just had this silly arse annoying voicemail, so I hung up. Ended up joining another club that my future wife was president of.

We met and talked a few times at meetings.

Fast forward to the end of the year and they had a dinner banquet. I invited a girl I was screwing around with, but she couldn't make it, so I went alone. Ended up having drinks with the future wife and getting her number that night.
If I would have went with the other girl, that night would have been the last night I would have ever seen the future wife as she was graduating.

Every day. Some of them made my future better; some of them made it worse. But that's life. C'est la vie!

I've read it's between 400,000,000 and 1,200,000,000 sperm in the average ejaculation.

Of course, a baby isn't produced from every ejaculation, so your odds of being born at all is much higher than 1.2 billion to one and is basically a mathematical miracle.

Make the best of it.

It's the only one you get.
