I think Garth Brooks played at Texas Club before he was famous.

I know The Police and REM played at The Bayou in the 70's, before they were famous.

ZZ Top played at a bar across the street from "Baton Rouge Beach" on Stanford in the 70's.

If I could go back in time and see one person before they were famous, it would probably be Bob Dylan.

Yep. I was there.

Ditto Clint Black.

My mom saw an early incarnation of the Doors in the 60's about a year or two before they were anything.

Nice. There's only a few bands I would put at the top of the list to see and The Doors would be one of them.

I saw Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins open for Chili Peppers in 91 at the Municipal Auditorium. Eddie Vedder was going nuts swinging everywhere. They stole the show. The next year they had one of the biggest albums of all time.

I would consider someone opening for a major band has made it big.

Not quite yet. They were actually taken off the tour for a while because they weren't "big enough". Besides, did you miss where I said the Municipal Auditorium

This wasn't the Lakefront or Dome.
