It all depends on the circumstances.
Chances are the wife is no longer attractive to the husband so he chooses to jerk off to something he likes rather than fake it.

Not a marriage, but a long term relationship yes a friend of my wife left her long term boyfriend because he couldn't/wouldn't give up porn. But this dude was well beyond "I watch porn because it turns me on" dude lost a pretty good job for repeatedly watching porn over the companies intranet before it eventually cost him this woman as well.

Without a doubt, if these women put out enough and at least stay at least a little sexy looking, husbands wouldn't be as inclined to go to porn.
