That's what happened with this guy. I mentioned the word conspiracy and he flipped out saying it was the truth. And I wasn't even trying to discredit him.

I thought about him last week. There were contrails criss-crossing the sky. He was a very sad case.

Old friend think Sandy hook didn't happen, 911 was a planned demolition, missiles hit the Pentagon, poison in our water, vaccines are poison, the Pope and Catholic church are run by the devil.

re: Ever inadvertently made friends with a conspiracist? (Posted on 2/24/14 at 7:55 pm to Zoltan) The only conspiracy theory that I believe is regarding Sandy Hook, primarily because I think Obama would build a secret army and declare himself dictator for life if he could. I think the current admin is Hitler-level evil and capable of committing heinous crimes and perpetuating a fraud to get whatever law they wanted passed. I have not found any other conspiracy theory plausible, however. Does that make me a conspiracist?

This makes you a fricking idiot.

While I don't believe any of them I do enjoy hearing them.

I also like Ancient Aliens, so there is that.

Wow, didn't know about that one, and conspiracies are a hobby of mine. My personal favorites are the "reptilian alien" believers, which I've found is the place where all conspiracy roads lead. I also enjoy the "chem-trail" cultists. "No, that's not a jet stream. The government is poisoning us (and themselves, apparently), and we have a 50-year-old patent request to prove it."

But it all started with "Paul McCartney is dead" theory, made all the more bizarre after his ex did an interview on British TV in which she said he was part of something so shocking that no one would believe it if she told them.

Someone who was an IRL friend of his posted it on the Poli Board a week or so after it happened. I remembered Collin had mentioned in one thread that he lived on the Miss Gulf coast so I searched online for his name. (He used his real name for his screen name.)

I found his obit in the Biloxi newspaper online edition. His family was asking for help with burial expenses in lieu of flowers. I sent a check for fifty bucks. Really sad that the kid's family couldn't afford to give the kid a decent burial.

One of my favorites is about the Saturn Death Cult. How all of the communication companies are in it.

I had a patient who was a total conspiracy nut. He was in his 70s, and once he got started he could talk as long as you'd allow. I'm talking any conspiracy you could possibly conceive, he was an expert on it. He'd bring me pamphlets and videotapes every time he had an appointment. He'd come by and pick up one box of videos and drop off another box (I never got around to watching them). It was actually pretty cool to listen to him go off on stuff like the Illuminati. And God help me when I tried to put a "mercury" filling in his mouth.

I know a guy that is constantly posting conspiracy stuff on facebook. He really isn't crazy but he is borderline obsessed with stuf like that. Always linking some video or story and heading it by saying " its a lodge thing" what the hell does that even mean

He says russia is one of the few countries that isn't zionist controlled. Always posting about chem trails and other stuff.

Oh he also thinks weed can cure cancer.
