A few years ago my wife hit and killed two deer at once. She and the kids were coming home from VBS when a doe and fawn ran out in front of her just as she was getting back into town.

Did that happen in South Tennessee? Because I remember that happening once about 20 years ago near where I lived then. It also hurt a guy in the rear seat really bad.

Just east of Kentwood?
Hit one on I49 near there. 80mph and the deer looked like ground meat.

I’ve hit probably half a dozen or so. Most of them I’ve had to finish off. Seems I never have the right tool either. You ain’t just twisting a deers head and breaking its neck.

Imagine a Moose in a regular car. Clip it at the knees and its coming thru the windshield.

Had one hit me on the driver's side front door traveling on I-24 East just inside the Tennessee state line north of Clarksville, TN 20 years ago. It impaled itself on the mirror, shattering the driver's side front window in the process, and its entrails were all over the driver's side. I also had some deer fur and guts on my shirt. Thankfully, I only had to replace the door. I was driving a 1985 Chevy Blazer (my first car as well).

I hit a doe once on a drive to Stuttgart, AR. It was around 2 in the morning and we were headed to the camp. Had the cruise on 70 and the doe came out of nowhere and luckily she just sucked up under the truck. One time having a sure enough baw, lifted up truck saved me. Was like hitting a speed bump. Only busted out the driver side fog light.

Never even come close until I hit 2 at one time about 3 months ago.

Early one morning a couple of yearlings darted out in front of me and I smoked both of them. Must have hit them perfectly because all it did was crack the plastic on the front license plate holder.

Never a deer. Did hit a cow once going 45 down a backroad. Was driving an old F150 and the only thing it did was knock out part of the grill.

What happened to the cow?

I was driving home late one night when the cars in front of me came to a stop in the highway. As I look ahead to see what was happening I noticed a herd of deer crossing the road in front of everyone. After being stopped for about one minute I looked to my left to see a large buck charging straight for my car. He slammed into the driver side door at full speed. He looked a little dazed for a second and then turned around and went back into the woods.

It was cold that night and I remember the steam coming from his flaring nostrils. LOL

He ended up causing about $2500 worth of damage as the entire door and front quarter panel had to be replaced.

Luckily we had low comprehensive deductibles.

my car's almost paid off, but i'm considering keeping comprehensive for this very reason. seems like they could do a liability with a deer clause or something.

Caught a small piece of one on my crash bar on the right side of the bike up in the Smoky Mountains in a twisty.

It darted out, made a U-turn and I clipped it on the arse end with the front crash guard, but not hard enough to maim it, or knock me over. Pucker factor 3 for that one.

This little freaking fawn ran into the step on the side of my car. I wanted to shoot it and go, but my buddy is a pussy. Backed up to it and hit it with a flashlight, eventually it stood up and ran off.

Not me, but a friend was cycling and a big buck just about killed him. My friend broke his collarbone, arm and leg. Never rode again.
