Last weekend someone related to my mom's husband got married. At the reception there was a place for people to put their gifts. This girl who was working for the caterer stole all the envelops. She did it by pretending she was taking out the trash and she supposedly waited to times when there was no one around, she put all the envelops in the garbage can, went out as if she was going dump the garbage, went through the envelops, took all the cash out.. And threw away the envelope that had checks or gift cards (which if you are going to steal, you might as well take).

I am not exactly sure how they knew it was her or how they caught her, but she was arrested and of course.. Lost her job, but if I had to guess.. She is an addict, you have to be pretty hard up to try some shite like that.

That's pretty fricked up to steal marriage gifts. I mean theft is bad trashy as frick regardless, but that's up there on most fricked things to steal.

I had my backpack with a macbook pro in it taken from my vehicle when I was in college. Parked right in front of my apt. on a lunch break and forgot to lock the doors. Came back out thirty minutes late and it was gone. It sucked that the laptop was gone for monetary reasons, but the fact that everything school related was on that computer was worse for that semester.

What did you end up having to do to get all the school related stuff?

May not be allot to some folks, but some piece of trash stole two dirtbikes from me a few years ago. I had quite a bit of money, and tons of labor sunk in those bikes.

It's two dirtbikes man, I would consider that to be a lot. Especially, like you say, you put a lot of money into it. There are just a few things worse than a thief.

went on a month long hiking trip in europe and had the 4 last days worth of photos on my digital camera waiting to upload to my laptop. drank so much at the end of the hike that i didn't get around to uploading by the time for our flight out of there. my camera was stolen out of my checked hiking bag at some point and i was never able to recover it or the finale photos of our hike. was 5 years ago and still bums me out a bit.

Sounds like an airport worker took it.

Some professors were understanding and gave me a little extra time on the stuff that was imminent like papers and homework (not tests). It was at most like a week or two though. Other than that, just had to get with people in my classes and get notes from them. Luckily, we live in an age where everyone types notes and after hearing my circumstances most were understanding and willing to help.

I've had a cell phone stolen a few years ago.

I was at a movie theater today and some dipshit stole my Snickers bar after I left for a bathroom break. Of course it's just a Snickers bar, but it still pisses me off.

frick a thief.

Stories like this make me realize that thieves are truly everywhere. You don't have to be in the ghetto or in a trailer park to get things stolen from you.

That's fricked up and fricking stupid..

If I saw any kind of food in the theater, unattended, I wouldn't eat that shite.. You never know what someone did with it.
