Many, and 95% of them were due to alcohol consumption. I rarely drink these days, and dumb things I do is much, much less

in 1985 I was a bartender at a popular college bar on Claiborne and Calhoun. Mostly a Loyola bar but the locals also made a home there. There were these two girls who came in two or three nights a week and sat at my station all night…one was pretty cute and the other looked like a lumberjack.
I’d slide them a free drink occasionally and they always tipped heavily. After months of this the cute one straight up asked me to come home with the two of them and get in a pile. I must have been temporarily insane because I declined.

Everybody. Anyone who lacks regrets probably just lacks self awareness or guilt.
You just can’t dwell on them. If it was a mistake, let it be a mistake and not a habit. Examine why you made the choice and work on it. Forgive yourself and move on.

There are things I’ve done poorly, things I wish would or wouldn’t have done and opportunities missed.
The only real regrets I have are the times I treated people really poorly that just didn’t deserve it.
There’s also a time I passed on sleeping with an extremely attractive woman. She was really batshit crazy and in no way was it a good idea, but it might have been worth it in retrospect.

Another thing that bothers me is that there was an obviously autistic kid in elementary school that we taunted relentlessly. I wish I could reach out to him and apologize but I don't even remember his name.
